    General Position Summary

    The Executive Associate is a critical member of the Community Health Academy and Health Investment & Policy teams, responsible for directly supporting the Executive Director, Community Health Academy and Director, Health Investment & Policy. This person will constantly communicate with high level internal and external associates, key stakeholders, and donors. Last Mile Health is seeking a candidate who is capable of handling confidential information, has high attention to detail, and is willing jump into multiple projects at once.

    Essential Job Functions

    Support email and subsequent documentation

    • Draft, track, and follow up on messages as directed by supervisors
    • Send pre-drafted emails as requested
    • Professionally represent LMH through management of email accounts and telephone correspondence

    Support for scheduling and meeting coordination

    • Schedule calls, meetings, appointments, interviews, and other types of speaking engagements
    • Manage calendars
    • Support staff communication by organizing regular check-ins with staff and other key members of the organization
    • Support the Community Health Academy and Health Investment and Policy teams in coordination of meetings and further tasks as listed under meeting coordination
    • Help assemble printed material and slides in advance of both internal and external meetings
    • Support meeting agenda creation
    • Attend meetings as assigned to ensure minutes are taken and distributed and action items are followed-up on in a timely manner
    • Prepare briefing books for conferences and meetings

    Travel and Budget Management

    • Book, track, and arrange travel accommodations
    • Monitor and reconcile budget reports and expenses and prepare and submit expense reports working independently to research and resolve any discrepancies

    Support on writing and editing materials

    • Special projects as assigned for grant writing, concept notes, publications, white papers, and CVs


    • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in international development or global health preferred
    • At least one year of working and/or internship experience with an international development or global health NGO
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and GSuite products
    • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
    • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff and external partners
    • Expert-level written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
    • Emotional maturity
    • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
    • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response
