Last Mile Health (LMH) saves lives in the world's most remote communities by partnering with governments to bring critical primary care services to the doorsteps of people living in the last mile. Last Mile Health is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization with offices in Liberia, Boston and New York. For more information, visit www.lastmilehealth.org.
In October 2017, the Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation (RM&E) team at LMH began collecting data for the Program Perceptions study, a qualitative research study that aims to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the Liberia National Community Health Assistant program (a community health program serving remote communities across 14 of Liberia’s 15 counties) from the perspective of Community Health Assistants, Community Health Services Supervisors, facility supervisors, and government/NGO program managers. We have a team of two field staff conducting and transcribing interviews, but are in need of a Qualitative Research Analyst to take a leading role in coding, analyzing, and interpreting the data, all in collaboration with the RM&E team. We are looking for someone who can join the study as a co-investigator and take the lead on performing these three tasks, as well as help to build the relevant capacity of our Liberian research staff. Data from this study are presented on a quarterly basis to the Liberia Ministry of Health. This individual would also be encouraged to participate in the publication process, targeting peer-reviewed academic journals.
This is a remote position open to all candidates and requires a 10 hour per week commitment. The contract is slated to start immediately and will run through June 30, 2019.
