General Position Summary

The Graphic Designer will play a key role in advancing the organization’s fundraising and advocacy efforts by executing all visual elements of the organization’s marketing and communications strategy. This individual will report to the Manager of Partnerships & Communications and work closely with other members of the Partnerships & Development Team and Executive Office to develop visual assets that clearly communicate the organization’s mission, vision, values, and impact to a diverse and growing audience of public and private sector partners, government stakeholders, and grassroots supporters.

Essential Job Functions

Graphic Design

  • Manage all visual design deliverables across the project lifecycle from concept to completion and evaluation. These deliverables will include audience-tailored visual communications assets such as annual and quarterly reports, email marketing campaigns, print communications, presentations, and marketing materials for fundraisers, conferences, and donor meetings
  • Participate in strategy and content development meetings and engage in ongoing, informal collaboration with colleagues from across teams to identify and achieve strategic aims related to visual communication
  • Support the development of brand standards and templates for Last Mile Health and the Community Health Academy

Social Media Management

  • Conduct ongoing updates to the organization’s website, including execution of design changes, development of new graphics, and uploading of new content

Website Support

  • Regularly manage the development of social media graphics that are optimized for various platforms
  • Support with development, scheduling, and posting of social media content
  • Support the collection and analysis of data on social media performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in print and web design
  • Design experience with a non-profit organization strongly preferred
  • Impeccable visual, written, and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively across teams
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Working knowledge of Wordpress
  • Experience with advanced web coding highly desirable but not required
  • Generosity of spirit and willingness to make sacrifices in service of the mission
